MT. ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole Earth is Mt. Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King! – Psalm 48:2

Founded in 1742, this congregation has seen many changes. The current building is the third on this site. After construction of the second church, it was aptly nicknamed ‘The Stone Church’ and referred to as such for many generations. Located in rural northern Berks County, in the township of Greenwich (pronounced ‘Green-wich’), this church is a vital part of the community. Located on top of a hill, it overlooks the surrounding areas of agriculture and light industrial. Our mission is to learn, love, and serve God and spread his word to others.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
May the Lord bless you and kept you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit AMEN.

Our sanctuary encourages the renewal of faith in God’s Good Works.
