Hello warmer weather! Hopefully we will be blessed with a beautiful month of May to get out into the gardens and nature and enjoy. Council met on Monday, April 15th. Here are some of the highlights from that meeting:
- We had a long and wonderful conversation with guest Michelle Batz about our confirmation class, how things have been going, attendance, etc. A small group was formed to continue the conversation in the next few weeks to see if there are any changes that would help our youth get the best foundation for moving forward in their faith.
- There was a lot to share in our committee reports. Please note that a Time and Talent survey will be done soon. Please find at least one committee to join. Be sure to reach out to our committees if you have any questions about what they do. We are an active congregation, and we would love for everyone to have a role.
- Our security cameras are up and running. There will be one more installed shortly to ensure we are covered all around the building.
- We are investigating getting a digital sign and better lighting across the street in the parking lot.
- Council discussed how to move forward with a search for a new Music Director. Please join us in keeping Sylvia in your prayers as she heals.
- The Scholarship Committee revealed that this year’s scholarship will go to Jordan Keller. Congratulations Jordan! Council wishes you all the best in college!
- VBS planning continues. Please mark your calendars and share the dates with any young people you know that might wish to attend! June 24-28th 6-8:30pm.
